When it rains, it pours!!!

I am so thankful for my understanding customers. We've officially had computer problems for a week. It's made it almost impossible to ship orders, but today we think it's working. Orders will start processing again tomorrow. Again, thank you so much for being understanding.

Now, for the Klutz award for April 2012, yours truly tripped and fell. Not an unusual thing for me, I fall at least once a month. This time, I bruised my knees and hands but slammed my shoulder into the wall. Today, the doctor diagnosed it as a full thickness tear of my right rotator cuff. I'm just waiting to hear his treatment plan and then plan accordingly. I'm traveling next week to New Mexico, to be the maid of honor in my best friends wedding. We're going to decorate it with sunflowers!

Happy Stitching!! Sharon

Good Golly, where have we been?

Hi everyone! Hope you're enjoying your Spring. We had Spring in Arizona over a weekend about a month ago. Wo e are now in pre-Summer, hitting over 100 degrees yessterday. Thank goodness for air conditioning.

Here's a little of what we've been up to...

1.  Pecan Pie Belle Soie is back! We needed to fix the recipe, the dye lot went bad and I'm not fond of sending out bad dye lots but not to worry, Pecan Pie is back and will be back in stock in your stores and at Hoffman very soon.

2.  Our main computer has been giving us error messages for about a week, we just worked on. Until yesterday, when the computer quit. Long story short, it will be back tomorrow so we can continue shipping the automatic and such. Thank you so much for your patience during this truly irritating time. :)

3.  Our Four Corners collaboration is going great! The second part (north and south) is shipping now and you're going to love them! If you're not stitching this, contact your local shop and sign up.

4.  Lots of designers coming out with patterns using our floss. Lizzie Kate just put out the cutest pattern called "Bacon Bits" and uses yummy colors of our cotton floss. The last few Blackbird Designs use lots of cotton floss and Little House Needleworks and Country Cottage Needleworks have some great stuff coming out, using some of our very cute frames and Belle Soie silks.

That's what's new here...I've been unable to cross stitch because I'm having knuckle problems BUT I have been able to needlepoint so I'm enjoying different stitches and sparkly fibers.

Hope you are stitching up a storm. What is everyone stitching? It's always fun to see what other people are up to.

Wonderful weekend to all of you.... Sharon

A different kind of update...

Hope you are all well and stitching up a storm! Did you like our new colors from the Nashville Needlework Market? There were so many cute and clever projects released, leaves my head spinning!

We also released our newest collaboration with Little House Needleworks, called "Four Corners". I'll insert a picture here as soon as I'm back in the office tomorrow I'll put a picture up. It is a darling, darling piece and will appeal to everyone. Ask your local needlework shop to order it for you today!

Meg is home on spring break and enjoying a little freedom from the grueling schedule at journalism school. It's always a joy to have her here. Of course Jake is happy she's here, I think he gets tired of dear old Mom. LOL

I have something to ask all stitchers. I'm researching an opportunity for a friend, so if you'd share any information you can in the comment sections below, I would appreciate it greatly. How is New Mexico set up for needlework shops. Not just cross stitch, but needlepoint, quilting and other hand crafts? I know there is a shop in Albuquerque, but I'm thinking more of the area surrounding Las Cruces and within 30-40 minutes of that area.  Are there stitchers there without a shop? I visit my very best friend who moved to that area two years ago and love to drive through the little historic town of Mesilla and then heading through the pecan groves.

What do you think, ladies? (and gents, of course) of a shop in that area, carrying a few different types of needlework. Access to the latest patterns, threads, canvases and maybe even some yarns, beautiful models, an area to sit and stitch with friends? Is there an economy for that in that part of New Mexico? I'd love to hear your thoughts, so I can pass them on to the person who asked me. Me? I'd love a shop on every street corner. LOL

Spring seems to be upon us and the weather is beautiful! I hope you find beauty in the area where you live.

Keep on stitching! Sharon

Is it really the middle of February??

February 15th. Wow, time just flies.  Since we last spoke, I've done the Winter TNNA market in Phoenix. It was great, met lots of new people and got Crescent Colours into more shops.

Since I got back, we've been getting ready for the Nashville market, the weekend of February 24-25, 2012. Of course, we are releasing three (3) great colors of cotton floss, three (3) wonderful new Belle Soie and a new automatic with Little House Needleworks.
We are in LOVE with this one, I can't wait for you to see it. As always, we never preview anything, the first people to see it will be the shoppers at Nashville. I hate to keep gushing but this one is a beauty.

Frames, we are so glad you love our frames for Country Cottage Needleworks "monthly cottages". We've made a couple of new ones, mainly the colors that we created that we'll debut right after Market. I just hired someone to help in the warehouse and she's also a photographer! She's going to take bunches of pictures of our projects and I can post them here.  I think that will make you very happy.

I wish I could list for you the designers who have used our cotton floss and Belle Soie in their new designs but it would take three pages. Suffice it to say, we're going to be everywhere.  I know Blackbird Designs used a gob of them in their new Nashville releases.  SamSarah Designs use our Bamboo cotton chenille to do something really cool with one of her samplers. It's darling.

I'm excited to exhibit at the Nashville Market. It's so nice to see all of my friends. We talk on the phone a lot, but this gives us time to sit and chat and I really like that.

Well, I've talked your ear off. I'll see you back after Nashville.

Happy New Year!

***EDITED 12/30/11***
Since not everyone has a Facebook, I'll drop that requirement. You do need to be a follower of my blog, however.

I'm so happy that 2012 is almost here! 2011 has been a year of good things, but things lost as well. Finley has been gone six months now, Jake and I really miss him. Christmas was very quiet here without him.

Do you have any stitching resolutions this year? How about a favorite project you're itching to start? I have a few things I've been setting aside that I'd like to stitch. I think sometimes because needlework is such a big part of my total day, I ignore my stitching because it feels like work. But there are projects I'd really like to stitch. Let's have a contest, shall we?

Post a comment to this post on my blog and talk about what project you're itching to start. I want to see lots of different things, who knows, there might be something out there that I haven't seen. Wait till you see the prizes...

I will use random number generator to select three winning posts. Each winner will receive a certificate for $50 retail worth of merchandise from Crescent Colours. You can use this on threads, kits or frames.

Ok, rules. You must be a follower of this blog and also a follower/fan of the Crescent Colours Facebook page located here . Only one entry will be counted. Memberships will be verified. The contest begins now and will close Monday, January 2, 2012 at 6pm PST.

Be sure to spread the word to your friends! The more the merrier!

Good Luck!!

Sharon

P.S. Crescent Colours is exhibiting at the 2012 Winter Needlearts Market in Phoenix, Arizona on the weekend of January 21-23. Shops, please stop by and see what's new. Stitcher's, let your shop know what you'd like them to bring home.
